I want to say thank you to Steve Daniel for an awesome day on the Lake March 29. You took my son Alex and his friend Michael for the day on the Best Fishing Day a kid could ever ask for. They will keep those memories for ever. To end the day you asked them to join you on the radio and they were so excited. Great man to show such great patience to two teens and to give your experience that they will never forget. #happyteens

Trying to get my contractor to take a day off on a remodel and come over to the O to see what big bass look like. In my home state of MN a 5lb large is a trophy! Wonder what if any days you may have open between next Tues (10th) and Monday the 16th. Capt Shane had nothing but praise for your guide service. Thanks and let me know as soon as you have a chance ... tight lines ~ Steve S.

Hello, We came down there in April of this year (Cliff and Doris Hollifield) from North Carolina, Steve Daniels was our guide. We had the best time. He treated us just like we were his good friends. We will ask for him the next time we visit Florida. Thanks again Steve for a great fishing trip. PS I still give Cliff a hard time about me catching the biggest fish.

I will be in Flordia in mid July. How good is the Bass fishing at that time. How much is out of state one day fishing license and how much does live bate cost. Also how early do you need to book. Can you wait to get aome idea of the weather or will that be too late.

My 45 year bass fishing buddy and I will be fishing Okeechobee for the first time April 9-17. We have only missed fishing together 1 year since we started taking a spring bass trip in 1967. I sold my BW Dauntless 220 this winter so we are trading our annual spring trip(since 2005) to Lake Erie for smallmouth for Okeechobee. This year we can only stay a short time but plan to come annually for at least 3 weeks between Mar 15 and April 15 in the future. We are staying in Okeechobee and my friend has a fully equipped Ranger minus PowerPoles we will be using. Have spent the last few days GOOGling fishing reports/articles about Okeechobee this time of year. To say we are excited would be an understatement. Seems the lake has really come back and will just be getting better in the future. Some conclusions...yes? no? maybe? I have the Navionics mapping chip. +12' Lake level will allow us to generally move around as needed. Most fish will be post-spawn and moving towards main lake. Should have a top water bite, spinnerbait, rattle trap bite Bluegill will be starting to spawn and provide a bite. Will be rigged for swimjig, big worms, and lures like Big EZ Not planning on heavy duty punch baits or sight fishing Since time is short this year, we want to use the time as efficiently as possible to begin to learn the lake in prep for future trips. From the reports/recent tournaments, seems we will need to plan our fishing locations based on wind direction and strength. Yes? No? I realize the lake is HHHUUUGGGEEE, so any thoughts on how to break it down into fishable areas would be great. Should we try to hit 2 or 3 areas or just stay in one? Which one or ones? Enjoyed your show for the first time today especially the interviews. Thanks for any advice....

hello Mr. Daniel and what a great show you and shaw grisby did yesterday on swimming baits. Without wasting a lot of your time, I would like to know the make and model of the hook that you guys were using on the baits. It looked like it had a keel on it but hard as I tried, I could not find the hook on the web or on any fishing site. Can you help. Much appreciated... Jay

Steve I just saw oyu and Shaw knockin the suffin out of some bass down there; GREAT SHOW. I use a similar tactic in Salt but the weighted hooks you and Shaw were using looked heavier that mine and would give me a faster sink. Who makes them if you can share? Thanks, John
